Hello readers,
Thank you to Robert and Simon Brown for choosing to honour the life of their mother, Jacqui Smith by helping give life to others.
It was a privilege for Tulips/HTWCA to receive 651.30TL plus £50 in memory of Jacqui which was collected at her funeral on Friday 20th January 2017 in lieu of flowers from everyone who attended.
Through these donations a cancer patient will receive at least one chemotherapy treatment, thank you.
Coffee Morning and Handbag Auction
On Saturday 4 February from 11 – 1.30 p.m. there will be coffee morning including an auction of handbags at the Colony Hotel in Girne/Kyrenia.
The event is being held in support of Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association. It is being held on International World Cancer Day and is being called “Handbags for Health”. It will consist of an auction of handbags, a lot which have been donation by prominent Ladies of the TRNC.
Entrance to the event will cost 20TL and that includes Coffee, Tea and cakes.

Tulips Chilly Dippers Swim Results
The Tulips Chilly Dippers have done it again!
Every year they aim to increase the money they raise and 31st December 2016 was no exception, as their goal was to get over the 10,000TL hurdle.
On the 21st January at The Fly Inn Lapta sponsorship money kept rolling in to the tune of 10,248TL and £35 sterling!
An absolutely incredible result for 10 people, who bravely got in the chilly Mediterranean sea and stayed there for a full 10 minutes.
A huge thank you has to go to Jackie Pennington for organising this annual event and to all the swimmers: Kay Thomas, Susan Hargreaves, Steve Owen, David Foulke, Steve Foster, Un Bitlis, Roger Miles, Auriana Stevens, Tig McKenzie and, not forgetting, Jenny Brown who organised and sold the mulled wine.
We would also like to thank the Fly Inn for providing the homemade soup and, of course, all the generous people who sponsored each of our swimmers.

A fabulous range of winter clothing will be on sale on the Tulips “Clothing Only” stall this Saturday.
All clothes are nearly new, so come down and stock up with some wonderful bargains….. we are not out of winter yet!!
