By Chris Elliott……..

Never a week goes by when we do not receive a request at cyprusscene.com to help individuals or organisations with promotion of projects and events and in the past few days another event was mentioned to us by Ayşe Green who sent us the following information about a great event that will be a must for every lady’s diary.

For more information please call Ayşe on 0533 841 2305 or Seda on 0542 882 3658.

“Hi Chris,

November of last year our team “Green” which was my daughter Rachael and I, came up with the idea for raising funds for Tulips. Now every woman loves her handbags so why not donate one to help other people who are in need of help..

We started collecting for our first sale at Lambousa with approx 200 bags and by selling and auctioning the best ones, we raised 2574 TL but due to the overwhelming amount of bags left we were asked to have a second stall where we raised further 1000TL plus.

At a presentation to Raziye Kocaismail the President of Tulips – Help Those With Cancer Association, my husband suggested she could ask prominent ladies in the TRNC community  to take part in a further handbag event and Sibel Siber has donated one of her evening bags.

Raziye wanted us to sell these items on 4th February World Cancer day and the idea of a tea party came alive and the Colony Hotel will be hosting this event from 11am to 1.00pm. Admission will be 20TL which includes coffee, tea and cakes and there will be a raffle plus an auction of some very desirable handbags to raise as much as we can for Tulips so in turn,  they can continue help more people suffering from cancer.

With thanks and best wishes,

Ayşe Green
