At cyprusscene.com we have always tried very hard to help people and organisations by publishing news and reviews about their activities and also working with them in the development of projects.
Having been aware of Rotary International and written about a number of Northern Cyprus Rotary Clubs and their events in the past, I was delighted to be invited to consider joining a new club that was being formed and this is the Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan so I went along to a meeting to meet other prospective members and learn more about it during November of last year and after formal application to form the new club Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan received confirmation of its Charter from Rotary International on the 3rd of January 2017.
The Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan is the only English language club in North Cyprus and is an International collection of friendly Rotarians formed to 
assist the local Kyrenia area and holds meeting on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at 2.30 pm at the Merit Park Hotel, Karaoğlanoğlu and more can be learned about them on their website click here or Facebook page click here.
The Rotary Club of Kyrenia Cosmopolitan Chairman, Malcolm Mitcheson, said “we are delighted we have now become part of Rotary International which has a 112 year tradition of helping local communities help themselves, and of working together to achieve major international projects.
We are keen on developing a truly Cosmopolitan character and already draw members from Cyprus, UK, Holland and Turkey and welcome new members from all nationalities who have a conversational knowledge of English. Our common aim is Community Service and good fellowship between members.
