The most successful Year-End Dinner of the TFR
in the Opinion of the Guests

I believe that I have participated in about 8 or 9 year-end dinners of the association The Foreign Residents in the TRNC (short TFR) since my membership in the club.
Some were good, others gave some cause to complain.
This year most of the guests agreed at the end of the event: This was the best dinner on the occasion of the festive ending of the year, the TFR ever had.
Once again, the Dinner party was held in the Deniz Kizi Hotel in Alsancak.

The Events Manager Pamela Tschersich, together with the Treasurer Horst Gutowski and the hotel management, had chosen a balanced 3-course menu, the decoration of the hall was festively and fondly arranged, even details like a fitting placing of the guests at the tables were carefully considered and planned.
After a welcome glass of sparkling wine, the numerous guests took their seats at the tables. The DJ of the evening, once again the fabulous Pete Murray, provided the audience from the beginning with a mixed selection of partly festive, partly timeless vibrant songs and therefore provided a positive mood amongst those present.
Local drinks were included in the price of the meal, perhaps also one of the reasons that the evening became increasingly sweeping and cheerful.
Lively conversations were held and after the tasty meal, many of the guests were no longer able to hold themselves back from entering the dance floor.
the raffle prizes
The raffle of many beautiful prizes, the cheery performance of Santa Claus (Horst Gutowski) and the comic sketch about the „12 days of Christmas“, performed by Beverly Westbrook and Paul Abel, further aroused the good mood among the guests.
Many comments of the participants of the event reached the organizers, some of them in writing. I would like to add these comments to this post. What can be better for those who have organized this dinner as a positive feedback and praise!
I would like to personally thank Pamela, Horst and all their volunteers. An additional thanks to the management of the Deniz Kizi Hotel and the service crew of the evening, which gave – from my opinion – no reason to complain. Well done!
