Akıncı to receive leaders and representatives of the Turkish Cypriot political parties

Today, President Mustafa Akıncı will receive the leaders and representatives of the political parties represented in the TRNC Assembly.

Meanwhile tonight, Akıncı will take part in a television programme jointly organised by the Turkish Cypriot television networks, in which he will inform the public about the developments in the negotiations which have been continuing for 17 months. Akıncı will also discuss the Leaders’ meetings which are to be held in Switzerland between 7-11 November.

During the last Leaders’ meeting in the presence of the UN, President Akıncı proposed to make a joint press conference with the Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Anastasiades before the negotiations in Switzerland, but Anastasiades opted to hold a separate press conference.
