The Turkish Foreign Ministry expects Greece to stop putting forward preconditions that interrupt the negotiation process

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has responded to a statement by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling upon Greece to stop putting forward preconditions that will interrupt the negotiation process.

The Ministry expects that Greece will support a fair, long-lasting and comprehensive settlement in Cyprus as well as put an end to its efforts to be involved in the process regarding the attempted coup in Turkey.

Mediterranean Centre for Strategic Studies visited the Hungarian Parliament

The Mediterranean Centre for Strategic Studies, which was invited by the Hungarian Parliament, Foreign Ministry and Turan Foundation on an official visit to Hungary, has visited the Hungarian Parliament.

The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Sandot Lezsak and President of Hungarian Turan Foundation Andros Biro addressed the Mediterranean Centre for Strategic Studies delegation during their visit.

Mr Lezsak also hosted a dinner in honour of the guests at Parliament.

Neofitu says the Greek Cypriot side will not accept any agreement that does not include the return of Güzelyurt or that includes Turkish guarantees

In an interview with the Greek Cypriot daily Politis, DISI leader Averof Neofitu stated that neither he, nor the President or his party, would accept an agreement that includes Turkish guarantees and does not include the return of Güzelyurt.

33 Martyrs will be buried today at Taşkent Martyrdom

The remains of 33 Martyrs which were found and identified by the Committee of Missing Persons will be remembered and buried at the Taşkent martyrdom today as part of a military ceremony.

President Mustafa Akıncı, Speaker of the Assembly Sibel Siber and Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün will be present at the ceremony.

Kansu to attend the 45th International Literature Interpreters Symposium in Macedonia

Turkish Cypriot poet and storyteller Mehmet Kansu will attend the 45th International Literature Interpreters Symposium in Leşok in Macedonia, from the 29-30 August, 2016.

Mehmet Kansu will open the symposium with a speech entitled ‘Literary translation is the continuation of a text in the mother tongue.’
