The Girne Goatbusters Mountain Bike group led by Mike Phillips are to hold their first Ride Social on Sunday the 8th of
May starting at 10am from the Beşparmak Buffavento Restaurant
Mike and Angela who are active cyclists who would like to lead regular informal bike rides for the community, welcome all cyclists regardless of age or ability to join them on this first Ride Social and enjoy the glorious scenery and perhaps make new friends and they have sent this message.
“Welcome everyone to our very first ‘Ride Social’ event. We will be meeting at Besparmak Buffavento Restaurant at 10am to enjoy a leisurely ride to the picnic area and back. This will be a steady ride of 10 miles (16km) averaging no more than 8-10 mph to ensure everyone can participate and enjoy it.
Please make sure you wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring along a helmet (advisable) and a drink. Children are most welcome to accompany a 
parent or responsible adult who must take full responsibility for them. We must insist that any children that you supervise wear a cycle helmet for the duration of the ride. If you have any issues concerning a bike or a helmet, please let us know in advance so that we can assist you.
We will be carrying out a briefing session and bike checks before we leave so please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes beforehand. There is ample off-road parking behind the restaurant as well as across the road from it.
