Following the success of the 2014 festival, the GOLDEN ISLAND INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL II is planned for October this year and will take place in Girne and Lefkosa over a four day period. The dates are still to be finalised. 
There will be a Gala Opening Night plus two to three days of film showing and judging, a delegates familiarisation trip and the final closing and presentation evening. It is also expected that European volunteers will arrive on the island to work before and during the festival.
Volunteers are required to assist with all elements of the festival both in the run-up to and during the event itself.
Duties will include preparation of festival documentation, welcome and registration duties, delegate liaison, hospitality at gala evenings and film showings, interpreting and translation, graphic design, filmmaking, joining the European team of volunteers and general involvement as required, during the festival.
You will not necessarily be required to participate in all of the above but nearer the time, you will be required to attend one or two briefing meetings when your role and attendance at the festival, will be determined. Volunteers of all nationalities are invited providing you can communicate in English or Turkish. We will also create a Facebook page for quick communications.
A Volunteers meeting is scheduled for this Sunday, 13th March at 3pm at The Chateau Lambousa Hotel, Lapta.
