Raising money for TULIPS (Help Those with Cancer)

The EFRAR Committee are delighted to announce that for the first time there will be four local schools taking part in the Fun Run.
This year Girne American College (GAC), the English School of Kyrenia (ESK) and Esentepe Junior School will be joined by Tatlisu School.
It is anticipated that at least 20 pupils from each school will enter the 2km fun run this year, and Esentepe School are hoping to enter around thirty 11 year olds running under the auspices of Capital Bank with all the children wearing a Capital Bank t-shirt on the day.
Deputy Head Teacher of Esentepe School, Hasan Ergurer said: “We are very happy that our children will take part again this year and we thank Capital Bank for sponsoring our children. It is good to get involved in these events as our children really enjoy themselves.”
Art Watson, Chairman of EFRAR commented: “We want to involve the children as much as possible and bringing Tatlisu on board this year is great news. We would be very happy if any other school wished to also participate; they only have to get in touch. There will be a prize for the best child fancy dress so children should let their imaginations run wild.”
Registration for the Fun Run will open at 0830 and the 2km fun run will start at 10.30 so all children should be signed in by 10.00am at the latest. This applies to both Telsim and Turkcell.
Valentines Night – The Waterfall: Twenty two people attended the intimate Sweetheart Supper at Cengiz’s Waterfall restaurant on Sunday, 14th February and raised TL110 for EFRAR, the committee would like to thank Cengiz Meydan and his staff for hosting the event so well.
