Lefkosa roadworks and power cuts from 22nd to 24th January 2016

One of our readers and good friend, Hatice Salih Kerimgil has kindly alerted cyprusscene today of the TRNC infrastructure workings and service issue which we are sharing with those local readers that it affects during the period of 22nd to 24th January 2016.

Roadworks

Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu Street, Lefkosa past the State Hospital will be closed between 8.30 and 17.00 on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of January for laying of water pipes. Alternative local routes will be available we understand.

Electricity cuts

Due to work on the electric system there will be electricity cuts in Lefkosa on Mehmet Akif Caddesi, Lefkosa (leads into the Dereboyu area and to the British High Commission), Ozman Örek Caddesi (Citroen traffic lights) and surrounding streets .

The power cuts will be between 9.00 – 15.00 on 22nd January 2016 and there will also be cuts at the same times in some parts of the villages of Vadilli and Akdoğan.
