Cricket Practice Starts

Another first for the TRNC Cricket Association, when they host at the end of the month an all ladies tournament with 2 sides coming from the South.

Team Manager Lynn Holman says when we went South last spring, we did better than anyone expected our novices to do. Playing against 2 Sri Lankan sides, we were only narrowly beaten in both games.

The matches are 6-a-side, 5 overs/innings, played with tennis balls and fast and furious, great for fitness. Training is taking place 2pm next Saturday (7^th Nov) and 21^st November, both sessions are at the Pia Bella Stadium (opposite the hotel). Holman says, anyone interested is very welcome, most of the team haven’t played before.
