Farewell to Jamie at Macaron

Perhaps not farewell, maybe görűsűrűz would be more appropriate. We went along to Macaron in Alsancak on Sunday 1st November which was the last opportunity we would have to say our goodbyes to Jamie and Teresa before their departure to Turkey where they will be settling in Fethiye and starting another phase in their life.
We had booked for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the lovely food which starts with a meze selection followed by the choice of a starter and then the main Sunday roast. The food is superb and so is the service by the ever smiling staff. Emrullah always makes a point of chatting with his guests and making them feel welcome at Macaron.
Jamie and Teresa arrived and we had a chance to sit and chat for a while before the next group of diners arrived. Teresa mentioned that there was a hiccup with transporting their animals to Turkey and we have since learned that they have now had to delay their departure by a couple of weeks to allow for the procedures to be put in place for their furry and feathered friends. So Jamie will still be around for a little longer and will be at Macaron on a Sunday as usual, the last one being 22nd November.
We stayed for a while and enjoyed hearing Jamie’s music before we had to make a move and travel home.
Although we said our goodbyes to Jamie and Teresa, it will certainly not be final as they will certainly be visiting the TRNC from time to time to catch up with the friends they have made during their time here.
So yet another entertainer is leaving the TRNC, such a shame that the acts of a few selfish people have caused so many problems for the entertainment industry in North Cyprus and very soon there will be no British legal entertainers other than those who hold a Kimlik card and TRNC citizens.
