The 4th Hawthorn Festival comes to Dogankoy

We would like to remind our local readers that the 4th Hawthorn Festival in Doğanköy has been arranged by the Girne Municipality for Saturday 31st October.
The festivities start at 14.oopm with music followed by the official 
opening and speeches and you can then visit the stalls in the show area.
Entertainment is scheduled to start at 14.30pm with traditional folk dancing by the Çatalköy Municipality dance group followed throughout the afternoon by performances by Şht Hasan Cafer Primary School children’s choir followed by a concert by Group Anatolian.
Following this there will be an appearance by Ak-Dans Folk Dance Group and the festivities will be concluded by a concert by Grup Triple.

Hi Chris – just a very small correction – it is the ‘Hawthorn’ Festival as opposed to ‘Walnut’ – makes some fantastic jams!
