The Great Lapta Bake-off

We have received news of a brilliant event to be held at JK’s Bar in Lapta. The Great Lapta Bake-off which is being held on Sunday 25th October, starting at 2pm. What a great opportunity for the good cooks out there to show their culinary skills.
There will be 2 categories which are Cakes and Savouries which will be judged by an independent panel. Entries for the bake-off must be submitted/advised by Wednesday 21st October. As space is limited, all bake-off competition entries must be prepared in advance (JK’s do not have baking facilities available).
1) CAKES – these can include (but are not limited to):
Cakes
Cup cakes
Brownies
Cheesecakes
Cookies
Donuts etc!
2) SAVOURIES – these can include (but are not limited to):
Pies
Sausage rolls
Pasties
Tarts / flans etc
Entries will be judged by a panel of 4 – if you are therefore submitting individual cakes (i.e. Muffins/Cupcakes), please note that a minimum of 4 is required for tasting. You may enter either or both categories but may only submit 1 entry per category. There is a fee of 5TL per entrant, per category. Entries will be marked on 
both presentation and taste. All entries will be submitted to the judges via an anonymous method. There will be a prize for Best Baker in each category.
If you would like a stall to sell your goods at this event please book by Monday 19th October latest. Please note that JK’s have limited tables so if possible please bring your own stall/table. The cost is 5tl per stall.
You can have a stall for the bake sale even if you are not entering the competition; and you may also enter the competition without having a stall. Anyone can enter the competition.
In addition to this there will be live music by ASAP entertainer – Pete Murray, a raffle and a BBQ.
