Concert at Bellapais Abbey

Our lovely friend Gűlseren Sadak, who we always refer to as Rosa, contacted me recently to say she would be giving a piano
recital at Bellapais Abbey on Thursday 8th October at 8.30pm. She has travelled the world throughout her life as a concert pianist and still loves to play and give a performance occasionally for lovers of music.
The performance to be given by Gűlseren on the 8th October is part of the 13th Kuzey Kibris Music Festival taking place at the beautiful venue of Bellapais Abbey from 1st to 25th October. Tickets for all performances are 30TL.
Gűlseren’s recital has the theme Love and Music for Peace and she told us she had chosen the pieces with much thought to include composers from different countries – Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, France, to emphasise the bringing together of nationalities in the name of Love and Peace.
I went to see Gűlseren where she now lives very quietly and modestly with her cat and books and of course her piano and she played a piece for me which she will be including in her recital, which was wonderful and so nice to see and hear at close quarters.
We will certainly be attending her performance and are very much looking forward to it.
