Fun Day Races and Mediterranean Supper
The autumn is looking busy for the Royal British Legion Kyrenia Branch with a number of events being shown in our weekly cyprusscene.com events calendar and we thought we would highlight two which should be memorable for those local folk who will be attending.
Fun Day at the Races
The RBL Kyrenia Branch will be holding a ‘Fun Day at the Races’ from 4pm on Saturday 26th September at the Courtyard Inn, Karakum. Organiser and Branch member Eddie Hollely said: “This is a tried and tested fun event for a very worthy cause a
nd I am delighted to assist. The event has a twist this year but all I can say at this stage is that there will be no videos being played on screen and there will be no winding your wrists backwards!”
He continued: “You can be a winning jockey or a jubilant owner on the day and there are cash prizes and champagne for all winning jockeys. Mo has provided a special menu for the event and there will be live entertainment throughout by Werner. Mediterranean Supper
The Royal British Legion Kyrenia Branch invite you to share a special evening of wining, dining and 
good music while enjoying a Mediterranean sunset. This will take place at the beach restaurant of the Deniz Kizi Hotel on Friday 2nd October at 7pm for 7.30pm.
Tickets are 60TL for members and 65TL for non-members and will be available at the RBL stall at the Lambousa market or by contacting Lilian on 0533 831 9841. A wet weather venue is also booked just in case and the entertainment will be provided by the popular vocalist Christine.
