Ballet Rambert – Cyprus 1963

I have received a programme from a friend in the UK, a keen theatregoer, of a performance by the Ballet Rambert in Cyprus in 1963, shown below,  and it has prompted me to publish it as an item of nostalgia which may be remembered by the older generation of Cyprus.

I have no idea where the performance took place but maybe some readers will be able to enlighten me.

It seems the Rambert Dance Company had a visit from a former dancer and this is what they have said.

It was lovely having former Rambert dancer John O’Brien visiting our South Bank home and sharing his memories of dancing with Rambert in the 1960s. Do you recognise any of the other names from this programme from a performance in Cyprus in 1963?

For lovers of theatre and ballet, this must have been a wonderful event back in the 1960’s and I would like to thank Fred Simmonds for supplying us with this item of Cyprus history and nostalgia from days gone by.
