Talk by US Ambassador John Koenig

We were delighted to be invited by the Rotary Club of Kyrenia Liman 
to a dinner at The Colony Hotel in Girne where the guest of honour was the US Ambassador, John Koenig who spoke to the guests and members of the clubs attending after a very enjoyable meal and gave a very interesting talk, followed by a question time from the guests, which were very thought provoking. Ambassador Koenig and his family have had a long association with Cyprus and many happy memories of visits when the children were young and he will certainly be missed by many people when he returns to the USA.

U.S. AMBASSADOR SPEAKS TO ROTARY CLUB
U.S. Ambassador John Koenig spoke to members of the Kyrenia Limani, Nicosia Sarayonu, and Kyrenia St. Hilarion’s Rotary Clubs on Tuesday evening, July 14. In his remarks, the Ambassador praised the Rotary Club for its active role in charity work and civil society, saying “We’re always happy to work with outstanding organizations like the Rotary Club to help promote unity on the island.”
The Ambassador stressed the importance of economic and business ties between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities to complement any future political solution.
