Tatlisu grabbed all 3 points in this very important match with local neighbours Bahçeli. Tatlisu are now in 2nd place in the League and will have high TATLISU SERCALIAR ve BAHCELIhopes of reaching the “play offs”. For Bahçeli this was a must win match, and with 4 matches remaining their hopes of progressing into the “play offs” are remote.

The scoreline flattered Bahçeli as Tatlisu were in control of 75% of the match (being 3-0 up at the break), a spirited late rally by Bahçeli made the score more respectable.

Tatlisu who dominated the opening stages of the match took the lead in the 16th minute, when Bahçeli should have been awarded a free kick but play was waved on, Tatlisu’s Fatih headed a cross down, where Bahceli’s Yakup miss kicked the ball which fell invitingly to Ibrahim Çan Ates, to easily shoot past goalkeeper Murat. 1-0.

29th minutes it was 2-0, again a defensive error by Bahçeli that has plagued them this season. A long punt up field into the Bahçeli half should have been dealt with, but both defenders and TATLISU SERCALIAR ve BAHCELI 2goalkeeper Murat who had raced out to the edge of his area hesitated allowing the bouncing ball to fall to Ibrahim Çan Ates, who with the aid of an overhead kick, spectacularly lobbed the stranded Murat to record his second goal of the match. 2-0.

In injury time of the first half Tatlisu scored a killer third goal, Bahçeli defence was again cut wide open as they were drawn into the middle of the pitch, a cross came over where Ibrahim Celik in acres of space, volleyed first time pass Murat right hand side 3-0.

Bahçeli trooped off the pitch looking utterly deflated and beaten. Half Time Score 3-0:

The opening 20 minutes were again controlled by Tatlisu, but they had lost some of their early sparkle and had eased off on the gas pedal.

Out of the blue in the 65th minute Bahçeli reduced the lead. Tatlisu strongman in defence Özal lost control of the ball, which squirted out to Bahçeli striker ESER KAN, who took his goal well by shooting past Tatlisu keeper Doguhan left hand side. A deserved goal for Eser who looked dangerous all match for Bahçeli 3-1.

Suddenly Bahçeli sensed they were in with a chance of salvaging the match. They started winning balls in midfield and Bahceli’s playmaker Hasan Soytürk became more prominent and this resulted in Bahceli’s best spell of the match.TATLISU SERCALIAR ve BAHCELI 3

A second goal came in the 78th minute through young substitute ABDULLAH ŞENGÜN. A Tansu free kick out on the left wasn’t properly cleared by the Tatlisu defence, the ball came out to Abdullah who shot through a crowded area and into the net 3-2.

Would Bahçeli perform a Houdini act, but fate off the pitch would play a part in denying this. A heavy tackle in front of the main stand, resulted in the crowd becoming upset and heated discussions between spectators became more animated. A lot of pushing and shoving started and it was not long before the Police became heavily involved. This seemed to have distracted the players and Bahçeli’s fightback stopped and in the remaining few minutes left were played without incident.

Full time score 3-2.

SUMMING UP :

Tatlisu fully deserved their win, the match itself was entertaining but not really living up to a full blooded “local derby”.

Tatlisu are a Club that seemed to be going places, they have a young team with some talented players and a good coaching set up. A brand new TATLISU SERCALIAR ve BAHCELI 4Stadium, a Sports bar in the Village that helps fund the Club, I think in a few years time they will break into some of the higher Leagues.

In contrast Bahçeli have no ground of their own (they play at Esentepe Stadium), no Sports Bar, no funding. Their team is a mixture of veterans, Ex Esentepe players and some youngsters. They “huff and puff” and on their day they can be quite effective, but today was not to be. Four matches of the season remain, yes they will still be playing football in July in the hot sun, for Bahçeli there will be only pride to play for.

BAHCELI TEAM (4-4-2, Subs in brackets)

Murat: Şeref (Abdullah Şengün mins), Yakup, Eşref, Serdal Şengün : Tansu, Hasan Soytürk, Uğurcan, Mehmet Soytüsrk (C) ( Tugay 59 mins ) : Eser, Halil :

Bahçeli Man of the Match : ESER KAN took his goal well, and was always a threat on goal, on the few occasions that Bahçeli threatened.

BAHCELI NEXT MATCH : Sunday June 28th 2015. Kick off 5-30pm at the Esentepe Erdal Barut Stadium.: BAHCELI v ERGAZI SK.
