Film Event at The Hermitage, Kyrenia

The Stones Cry Out

By Margaret Sheard….

We have been advised of an exceptional film which is to be shown at The Hermitage in Kyrenia on Friday 29th May at 7pm – “The Stones Cry Out”.   The film is in English and the director, Yasmine Perni, will give a short talk about the making of the film before it is shown and will be available to answer any questions following the film.

This is a beautiful film of great humanity and dignity, which tells the story of Palestine’s Christian community, their history and their suffering.  It is so important for this story to be told before it is too late, and the Palestinian Christian community cease to exist for the first time ever. A film to watch and share for every Christian and anybody with an interest in Middle East affairs.

The Revd. Wendy Hough, Chaplain of St Andrew’s Church has sent the following message:-

I would like to encourage you to support this event and bring others with you. The film is very powerful and it is a wonderful opportunity to have the maker and director with us to discuss its content and any issues it may raise.Coffee and Cakes at the Hermitage

We ask that everyone brings their own picnic snack. Bar and light refreshments will be available.

There is no entrance fee as such. We ask people to make donations to cover Yasmine’s travel costs. Any surplus will go to the fund to purchase a new sound system for St. Andrew’s Church.
