The Final Event
Raising money for TULIPS (Help Those with Cancer)

The final event for the EFRaR 2015 raised an incredible 11,470TL which almost doubled the amount taken in 2014 for the same event.
The total included monies from a raffle, auction and donation from Stevie Stockwell, owner of Stevie’s Restaurant and Bar, which hosted the event. It also took into account the waived fee for Andrew sings….who entertained a full house until the early hours of the morning. Karl Rugg was the Auctioneer for the night.
Raziye Kocaïsmaïl, President of Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips) and Engin Savim, Project Co-ordinator also of the Association attended the event and Mrs Kocaismail was presented with a folding book made by Mandy Hughes.
The Carrington Shield, presented every year to the person who best embodies the ethos of the Fun Run was presented to Paul Harman for all his efforts in fund-raising in North Cyprus and the UK. The shield was accepted by Laura Kennedy on behalf of Mr Harman who won’t be in North Cyprus until May when he will do his Fun Run.
Also presented were trophies for the winners of the Fishing and Golf competitions which took place earlier in the year.
A special presentation of a bouquet was made to Pam Kennedy who has, for the last three years, designed the poster and flyers for the EFRaR.
Art Watson, Chairman of EFRaR 2015 said: “Our thanks go to everyone involved in this event, it was a magnificent effort. We will be presenting the cheque to the Association at their headquarters in Lefkoşa on Friday, 24th April 2015.”
