Cyprusscene.com is dedicated to promoting all that is good about North Cyprus for those who live here permanently and those who choose to visit as “swallows” or on holiday. There is a wide range of activities and entertainment available and whilst being in contact with several entertainers such as Andrews sings….. we have realised that a number of these people who have previously lived in Turkey and endeavoured to entertain have found that it is impossible to obtain a permit to perform legally there.
Here in North Cyprus All Stars Agency Promotions was set up by 
Ahmet Aşik who recognised the need for entertainers to be able to work legally and although there were a few teething problems initially it was eventually felt that the agency needed a full time Manager and Ken Hibbitt, having already spoken with Ahmet on the matter, applied for the position and commenced on 1st April. He is working hard to make the Agency successful and to make all entertainment in the TRNC totally legal which will be for the benefit of both entertainers and venues.
We had a meeting with Ken at Almond Holiday Village in Alsancak and he gave us some information about himself and his career.
Ken was born and raised in Tyneside.
He was educated to Masters Degree in Business Administration at Newcastle University.
After extensively travelling the world during employment in engineering, settled in the UK.
He ran his own agency called Global Presentations which recruited acts for overseas under Equity contracts.
Last UK employment was as a self-employed fundraiser for two Air Ambulance appeals, raising a net one million pounds per annum for the two charities.
Ken and his partner, Pat, moved to Turkey ten years ago before moving to TRNC in November 2014. During his time in Turkey he ran a 100 seat lounge bar in Didim with live entertainment.
Cyprusscene has for some time had a policy of restricting promotional articles to legal entertainers only, and although most types of events can be included in our Weekly Events Calendar, we intend to stand by our policy to promote only legal entertainers in any of our articles, thus abiding by the laws of the land.

Christine was the winner of “Search for a Star” in 2000 in her home town of Preston. She is probably best known for her Soul and Motown performances although she also has a wide repertoire in many other fields of music. Her motto is “My life is music, and music is my life”.
