T20 League Latest 13/04/2015

The questions are about to be answered, as the third round of the Creditwest North Cyprus Cricket T20 League games are held this Sunday the 19th April 2015.

We know Girne are through to the semi-finals, but will they win their league and have an easier draw and who will be the other 3 teams?Crickter rh

Girne captain Danish Afridi, felt the favourites were Cyprus All Stars and Famagusta Warriors from League A, but League B he said is impossible to call, as either Taşkınköy or the Near East University could win their deciding game. He admitted he would prefer to meet Famagusta in the semi-final, but following his teams surprise defeat last time, it wasn’t in his control.

This Sunday’s games are:

Near East University   v          Taşkınköy       10.00am

Famagusta Warriors   v          Cyprus Lions   13.30pm

With 30 league points for a win and for the losers receiving 1 point/wicket taken and 1 for every 25 runs scored over 50, all 6 teams still have a chance to make the semi-finals. Only the Near East University team can’t progress as League champions.
