Creditwest Bank 2015 Car Treasure Hunt

Plans are well underway for the 2015 Creditwest Bank Car Treasure Hunt.  The event, in association with Cyprus Today is running for a 10th year on Saturday 11th April.

Organisers Brian Hardie and Corinna Phillips 10th Creditwest Car Treasure Huntcommented;  “This year we are again venturing towards the Karpaz, taking in the old town of Gazi Mağusa and finishing for the night at Yeni Erenköy’s Balci Plaza Hotel.

The event will start from the Kervan Pizza Garden Restaurant in Karaoğlanoğlu at 10.30am and will end at around 4.00pm with the prize-giving and a luxury barbecue provided by Creditwest Bank on the beach at the Balci Plaza.   Entry for the whole day, except obviously for any overnight stays, is included in the TL35 entry fee per person.  The organisers will provide a list of hotels and B&B’s in the area for those wishing to stay.  (The Balci Plaza is already full!).

“As last year, due to the advent of IPhones and internet access wherever you may be,” continued Mr. Hardie, “the Cyprus Today General Knowledge Tie-Breaker Trophy will now be a quiz at the finish, CESV new logo smlwhich should stop the “Googling” of answers.  We hope this will turn the General Knowledge aspect of the Treasure Hunt into a more level playing field.”

Again this year all funds raised are going towards purchasing equipment for the Civil Emergency Service Volunteers (CESV), a group of highly trained volunteers from both the Turkish Cypriot and expatriate communities.  CESV assists the emergency services and works in conjunction with the Civil Defence department. Over the last year CESV volunteers provided first level critical care at many public and private events plus first aid training for 350 individuals in both the emergency services, and other groups within the TRNC.

An email will be sent to regular competitors with an entry form in due course.  For any  further details please contact corinnap0@gmail.com or call on 0533 866 7289.
