Bogaz Easter Market

By Margaret Sheard….

If you are looking for a nice morning out during the Easter Chicks 2weekend, what better than a trip to Bogaz Harbour on Saturday 4th April, where there will be an Easter Market in full swing from 10.30am to 1.30’ish.

We have been delighted to receive information from Jan McGhee, one of the long time organisers of the annual Easter Market, and she tells us that the event will be held in the Karsel Restaurant at the lovely Bogaz Harbour  and there will be plenty to do and see and lots of fun for the children with an Easter chick hunt with a prize of a big Easter egg for the most chicks found.   There will be a traditional Easter bonnet parade with a prize for the best – and worst! as well as a Guess the Weight of the Cake competition, Enjoying the Market 2Name the Teddy and a raffle.  We are including some pictures taken at previous Easter Market events which have been supplied by Jan.

The Lady and Lad in Red will be there to promote the need for blood donors with their slogan “A Gift of Blood is a Gift of Life” and there will be a lot of red balloons to mark the occasion.   On the subject of “red” there will also be a visit by the Iskele Fire Brigade with a fire engine, which should be a great delight for the children, young and old alike.Featured image

So why not treat yourself to a little excursion during Easter weekend, and maybe you will have time to put together an Easter bonnet and join the parade with your own home-made entry or sit in the shade of the trees and look at the boats in the harbour.

After all the excitement of the Bogaz Easter market, perhaps you might like to relax and have a nice meal in this lovely area before returning home.
