Mothers’ Day Dinner at Almond

Following a superb Valentine’s Night event at Almond Holiday Village in Alsancak, we were treated to yet another brilliant evening with a Mothers’ Day dinner in the Copper Pot Restaurant.   The Aşık family certainly know how to lay on a wonderful event for a special occasion and this was no exception with beautifully decorated tables, candles flickering and a delicious 4-course meal.  When we arrived the ladies were given a pink carnation, a lovely touch.

Of course this would not have been complete without the entertainment of Andrew Sings….. and Andrew and Glen certainly made this an evening to remember with the growing repertoire of songs everyone loves, both for listening and dancing.   The new slim-line Andrew looked very suave in one of his smart new waistcoats and dicky bow, he certainly looks the part of a great entertainer, which he certainly is.

We were a large party, which was arranged by Pam Blewitt, so all we had to do was go along and enjoy ourselves, with wining, dining and dancing to the great music.   We sat in a different part of the restaurant this time and had a long table in a lovely alcove which didn’t separate us from the rest of the guests.   The food was excellent and the waiters did their usual efficient work of making sure everyone was well looked after.
