The Art of Recycling waste materials

We are delighted to bring news that is bright and fresh and this is of an exhibition showing what can be done when waste material is recycled and this exhibition by Nursel Oztekin is entitled “The Art of Recycling”
Nursel Oztekin was born in Nicosia in April 1964. She resided in Nicosia until the age of seven and then moved and lived in Melbourne, Australia where she attended primary, high school and then attended the Melbourne College of Hair & Beauty.
After graduating she came back to live in Cyprus when she was 19 years of age. Coming back to Cyprus, she has been running her own hair & beauty salon along with working on many community services. İn 2003 she published her first children’s novel book, donating all the income to 12 children with leukaemia.
In March, 2014 she cut her hair to raise awareness for a campaign to make real hair wigs for cancer patients. In September 2014 she published her second poetry book donated to Help Those with Cancer Association (Tulips).
This year, on 23rd March, she will be holding her first exhibition to raise awareness about recycling. The exhibition entitled “The Art of Recycling” will be held at the KKTC Culture Department, Katkılarıyla, Nicosia.
