Ertuğ: “Greek Cypriot administration is in search of unilateral alliances with the countries in the region in order to conceal their escape from the negotiation table”
Presidential Spokesman Osman Ertuğ said that in accordance with the scenario previously formulated with Greece, the Greek Cypriot administration is in search of unilateral alliances with the countries in the region in order to conceal their escape from the negotiation table and leave the responsibility on the Turkish Cypriot side and Turkey.
In his written statement Ertug recorded that the Greek Cypriot administration who issued a declaration with Egypt and Greece on 8th of November has this time declared its aim to reach a similar tripartite agreement with Israel. Ertug also said: “Spokesman of the Greek Cypriot administration in his statement regarding this issue, said they willl move in the areas that they have comparative advantage against Turkey regarding this issue. In other words within the EU and with the neighbouring countries. He actually explained the purpose of a hostile alliance network that the Greek Cypriot administration has been trying to establish recently around the TRNC and Turkey.”
Emphasizing that the Greek Cypriot spokesman Hristodulides’ statement is quite meaningful, Ertuğ said this confession also demonstrates clearly how unserious and insincere is the statement of the Greek Cypriot leader Anastasiades when he said the dialog and cooperation between the parties who signed the Cairo declaration do not target any other country.
