RBL Theatre Players – The Show
Must Go On!
Following the disappointment of the cancellation of the 2014 Pantomime ‘Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves’, Director, Producer and writer Mark Lake and the entire panto cast have insisted that the “Show must go on!” So Mr Lake has now found a new venue, rewrote the script and Abracadabra he has come up with a full two hour show to entertain the hundreds of theatre goers who would have otherwise been disappointed.
“We were all a bit down after completing a whole swathe of rehearsals in the summer heat, but this setback only served to spur me on to produce a ‘one night only’ event featuring a spectacular evening of comedy, song and dance numbers from our previous three productions.”
The show will take place at the Ambassador Suite of the Le Chateau Lambousa in Lapta, commencing at 7.30pm on Thursday 4 December with seating limited to 350 on the night.
Mr Lake added: “We were determined to make at least some income this year for the RBL Poppy Appeal and we sincerely hope that all our friends and followers will come along to support us on the night. We will also hold a raffle for the Appeal during the interval.”
Reservations, at 35TL, can be made by either contacting Andrew Cowley on – 0533 883 0445 or by emailing him at – pantomime.rbl@gmail.com or by visiting the RBL stall at the Lambousa market on Saturday mornings. As a sign of loyalty priority will initially be given to customers who have already pre-booked for the original pantomime.
