Celebrating 15 Years at the Award Winning

Andrew sings….. recently had the honour and privilege to entertain guests at the Almond Holiday Village in Alsancak when the award winning venue celebrated a double achievement.
At a special event held on Thursday 11th September, The Almond Holiday Village celebrated their 15th year of business and also their recently received award from the TRNC Tourism Ministry Hotels Commission for “Achieving Great Success In Customer Satisfaction”. Only 2 hotels were 
honoured, The Almond being one, and both were set as examples and inspiration for other local hotels by the Commission.
Almost 100 people turned up for a great evening which included the presence of loyal Almond guests from the last 15 years. Andrew sings….. provided a great sing-a-long and dance set of songs to keep the party spirit going for almost 4 hours, and the dance floor was packed all night. Ali Asik, the owner, cooked on the BBQ and the guests enjoyed fabulous food, drink and dancing till late.
The Almond also received three world-wide awards by Tripadvisor in 2013 as No.1 Best Service Hotel in Cyprus, No. 1 Top Bargain Hotel in Cyprus and No. 12 Top Bargain Hotel in Europe. This year they have followed it up with two more awards as No. 1 Best Service Hotel in Cyprus and No. 5 Top Romantic Hotel in Cyprus.
The Almond Holiday Village was built from scratch with a tremendous amount of hard work, belief and passion by current owner and director Mr. Ali Riza Asik. He bought the land in 1994, which was very dry and occupied with dead trees. Only a few trees including wild almond trees survived the lack of water and attention before the land was 
purchased. But the beauty of the ”Flowering Almonds – The Eternal Symbol of Hope & Constancy” bewildered Ali , thus giving him the inspiration for naming The Almond.
The Almond Holiday Village officially opened their doors to business on the 16th of April 1999. Since then Ali, Dervişe and their children, Gülten, Ahmet & Ayşe have been proudly running their much loved business together. The family see their business as welcoming guests to their own home and their aim is to make sure each and every guest has a comfortable and memorable stay and enjoy Northern Cyprus as well as Almond Holiday Village. The family said “Thank you to all our guests and staff for helping us achieve these awards. It could not have been done without your loyalty and friendship over the 15 years.”
Andrew sings….. entertain guests at The Almond Holiday Village twice a month, and can next be seen performing on Thursday 25th September.
