27th August to 24th September – every WednesdayCinema equipment video camera  and film reel 9pm at the Goethe Institute (Ledra Palace).   A program of German films with English sub-titles. 18th September – ThursdayNCCCT logo NCCCT will be holding a Race Night at Club Tropicana, Ozankoy,… First race starts at 6.30pm…. This will be followed by a short table quiz…. There will also be a raffle and live music entertainment with Gavin and Johnny Lee.
19th September – Friday St Andrews Church, Kyrenia Quiz Night at St Andrew’s Church Hall starting at 7pm…. 15TL donation includes supper and will be for the church funds….For further information or to book please contact Joan Standing on 0533 847 1022.

20th and 21st September…Saturday and SundayCatalkoy Municipality Catalkoy Municipality will be holding the 5h Besparmak Festival…. There will be many events during the 2 days, well worth visiting the village….
20th September – SaturdayTerracotta  Akdeniz Ayia Irini. 6pm… 1st International Terracotta Symposium “Witnessing Living History”… 40 artists have been creating figurines etc. during the month and these will be exhibited on site or near the village church….   For more information about the work which has been done please visit Heidi Trautmann’s website.
21st September – SundayTulips Veni Vici in Lapta will be Cooking Pasta for Tulips. Minimum of 500 and hopefully up to 1000 pasta dishes will be cooked between 11am and 11pm. 5 pasta dishes to choose from including one vegetarian for 15TL, of which 10TL will be donated to Tulips. Eat in or take away….DJ Mike will be providing music in the evening…Go along with friends or as a team and help Veni Vici to achieve their goal. Who knows it may be a world record.
22nd September – Monday6. Dogankoy Church as it is now  Dogankoy Church will be holding an exhibition of Richard Chamberlain’s photographs taken in Cyprus 1954/55 from 7pm to 8pm….   Unfortunately, Richard cannot be present but there will be an opportunity to obtain Richard’s 2015 Calendar and his 2 books, signed copies of which will all be available….A donation towards the upkeep of the church would be appreciated…For further information please contact Paula Shirley on 0533 830 3256 or by email to paula.shirley@hotmail.com
24th September – WednesdayChildren in need foundation 

 

 

Children in Need Foundation Supper Club at The Garden (opposite Colony Hotel)…. New Jersey Nights will be providing entertainment with the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and much more….There will be an auction for a complete kitchen worth £7,000 which has been donated by The Property Centre, Alsancak….
