
South Cyprus and Greece
make an arrangement

[Greek Cypriot] President Nicos Anastasiades on Wednesday had a lengthy telephone conversation with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, ahead of the latter`s meeting with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of a NATO Summit in Wales, to take place on Thursday and Friday.
According to a written statement from [GC] Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides, the telephone conversation between the two men was part of the close cooperation scheme between Nicosia and Athens.
It added that the two exchanged views on the ongoing UN-led talks for a Cyprus solution.

They also agreed on the issues the Greek Premier would put forward during his contacts in Wales with a number of leaders, including Erdogan.
Erdogan was in the north [of Cyprus] on Monday, marking his first visit outside Turkey after being elected president.
Both Nicosia and Athens condemned statements he made saying Athens was “not being consistent with its obligations” towards a Cyprus solution.
