Eroğlu and Anastasiades meeting today
President Derviş Eroğlu and the Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Anastasiades are meeting at 11:30 at the buffer zone today (2nd June).
At the negotiations process which started on 11 February, after their second meeting on 31st of March, Eroglu and Anastasiadis came together at a dinner at the buffer zone on 22nd May within the framework of the visit of the US Vice President Joe Biden to the island.
Ozersay : “Experts are saying that it is a dream”
Turkish Cypriot negotiator – Kudret Özersay evaluated the feasibility studies to be started soon by Greece on the ‘Eastern Mediterranean Pipeline’ and pointed out the difficulties of this project to be realized physically. Özersay defended that such a pipeline has a weak competition against the other pipelines in the region and according to the experts its realization is a dream.
Negotiator Kudret Özersay said that the reason for this issue to be on the agenda again now is that it is part of the strategy of Greece for obtaining advantage at the other EU projects. (KIBRIS)
Albania’s Deputy Minister Duçka to give conference at EMU
Albania’s Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry – Dorian Duçka who graduated from Business and Economy Faculty’s International Relations Department of the Eastern Mediterranean University in the year of 2005, is coming to the TRNC to give a conference in the Eastern Mediterranean University.
The conference themed ‘Energy Diplomacy via South Gas Corridor’ will be held today (2nd June) at 14:30 at the Eastern Mediterranean University.
