GAU Support for Soma

GAU to provide full Scholarship and accommodation for students whose parents are affected by the mine disaster

The GAU Senate has decided to grant full scholarship and accommodation for the students of those who lost their lives in the Soma disaster and mine workers in Soma, for the academic years of 2014/2015 until the end of their higher education.

GAU Senate have announced the grief they feel as the GAU Family and also remarked that for the students whose families lost their lives in the Soma disaster and mine workers in Soma, GAU will provide full Scholarship and accommodation for the academic years of 2014/2015  until the end of their higher education. Thus with this opportunity GAU aims to partially heal their wounds and give them a hope to live.

With this decision, the GAU Senate has announced to further support and help as well as the educational reinforcement which they will provide.

GAU Students United for SOMA

Furthermore students have symbolically written SOMA with their bodies thus enabling a communal awareness during the commemoration ceremony held in front of the GAU Rectorate building for SOMA.
