KAR Fun Dog Show – Results

The KAR Fun Dog Show, as part of the Lapta Tourism Festival, was held on Sunday 6th April and it was a lovely afternoon with
many people attending and of course the dogs who were to show themselves off in the arena in the various categories, as well as those who had come with their owners to view the proceedings.
We have now received news from KAR Chairperson – Margaret Ray and Berke Ertopaloğlu of Lapta Belediye with the results of the competitions and they have confirmed that 1,613TL was raised at the event.
We give below the announcement made by Margaret Ray, and we also received a similar report and photos from Berke Ertopaloğlu, giving the results of the show.
KAR Fun Dog Show held on Sunday 7th April at The Stumble Inn, Lapta.
This was the second year we have organised a Dog Show as part of the Lapta Tourism Festival and once again it was a great success.
Everyone enjoyed the event and there were many very beautiful dogs handled with pride by their owners. Class entries totalled 14
7 which was up on the previous year by 14 entries. The judge, Christine Watson, had a very difficult job to find the winners from such a display of well turned out dogs. All the winners in first to fifth place received Rosettes and every entry received a Certificate all of which had been kindly donated by Lapta Belediye and Mayor Fuat Namsoy. The first to third winners also received wonderful prizes donated by the sponsors of their winning class:- Dagli Trading Ltd, Comfy Pet shop, Selpa Trading Ltd and Hair of the Dog.
There were stalls selling doggy items, pet goods, tombola, cakes and pastries, charity tables etc as well as games and a group of small dogs from the centre in need of a home.
1613 TL was raised and everyone had a fun time.
For those that didn’t win and for those that did win and would like to enter again our next show is ‘Paws in the Park’ on Sunday 27th April to be held at Baris Park, Girne. Registration begins at 9.30am and judging begins at 10am.
