2014 – Update
Raising money for TULIPS (Help Those with Cancer)

It is good to be kept informed of progress and results of various fundraising events and Sue Steel does a great job of giving updates for the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2014, and its associated events.
This is the latest update.
A George Roper Tribute will be held at the Mountain View Hotel in 
Karaoğlanoğlu on Friday, 11th April 2014, hosted by Mr Lee Hickens (aka Johnny Lee), as part of the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2014.
Mr Hickens who organised a tribute to Mr Roper last year said: “I am happy to be organising another tribute to George Roper, he was a great man, who fought his battle well, but very sadly lost. I feel it is the least I can do to honour his memory and help Tulips.”
The evening promises a night of live music to include Mr Hickens singing Motown, Elvis, Stevie Wonder, T Rex, The Beatles amongst others, plus a short quiz and raffle. There will also be a special guest appearance by DJ Mike.

Fun, Run and Ramble committee said: “We are delighted that Lee Hickens is once again supporting our event and George Roper. We are continuing the legacy Mr Roper left, to help Tulips (Help Those with Cancer) and the more venues and sponsors that come on board, the more money we can hand over to the charity.”
The evening will start at 8pm and the Mountain View Hotel will be serving its famous buffet at 25TL per person.

The event held at Windy Hill on Saturday, 29th March, which included entertainment by the one and only, Mr Swing, Tony Wand raised an amazing TL800 which will be added to the final total for the Esentepe Fun, Run and Ramble 2014.
Chairman, Mr Art Watson commented: “It was a good night and everyone enjoyed the entertainment and the food. I would like to thank everyone involved in the organisation of the evening.
