Presentation of cheque to RBL,

We have been advised of a generous donation to the Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch and following is the report from the Branch Chairman.

RBL Kyrenia Branch member Max Pickup presented a cheque to the Branch at the end of March on completion of his year as Club Captain at Korineum Golf & Country Club.

Max said: “During my tenure as Club Captain at the Korineum Golf & Country Club I chose the Royal British Legion as my nominated charity. Although I didn’t serve in the Armed Forces I am continually impressed by the good work that the charity carries out both in the UK and on this island. Over the last 12 months Korineum members have been very supportive of my charity and have raised 3,200TL and I was delighted to present a cheque to Brian Thomas, Chairman of the Kyrenia branch of the Royal British Legion.”

The Branch Chairman added: “This is a sterling fundraising effort by Max and is very much appreciated. The Branch Committee will ensure that the money is put to good use for the good and benefit of our members.”
