On this week’s VOX POP programme, I have a fascinating interview with Shifan Özseza who has the Little Eastern Dance studio in Çatalköy where she runs Arab belly dancing classes.

She is also hard at work preparing for a Belly Dancing Festival to be held at the GAU Dance Academy on the  24th May and at the GAU Spectrum Theater Kyrenia on the 25th May.

Belly Dancing is a highly prized part of the heritage from Egypt and Turkey and some other Middle Eastern Countries and of course the world in general and if you would like to see how it should be done then, make a date in your diary to go along to Girne American University and see this fascinating dance performed.
