NCCCT Bingo – March 2014

There is a nice friendly band of supporters who go along every month to support Carole Lloyd and Mike Alican with the NCCCT Bingo Night at the Pine Bay Hotel in Alsancak. This month we started our journey with a terrific storm of thunder, lightning and heavy rain and wondered how many more would brave the elements.

There was still not a huge turnout but at least 15 people braved the weather and made their way to the hotel, where most of us tucked into a nice meal before the event started.

Of the 15 who attended, one supporter did 2 cards so that made it feasible to carry on. We had a few laughs and jokes throughout the evening and noticed part way through that the rain had stopped. The winners of a line or a house had their prizes as well as a Mini Mars Bar or Snickers Bar, there was the free raffle and at the start of the evening Carole had introduced a special bingo ticket for St Patrick’s Night with a Terry’s Chocolate Orange she had donated herself as the prize for the winner. I really had my eye on that, being a particular favourite of mine, but sadly I was not to be lucky on this occasion.

The jackpot has still not been won and next month will stand at 1,200TL with a call of 50 numbers. This is now getting a nice amount to try for so why not come along and join us on Easter Monday 21st April starting at 8pm, you never know, you may be a lucky winner.

The amount raised for the charity this month was 235TL, not a huge amount but as they say, every little helps, but I am sure we can do better and would ask more people to come along and support NCCCT at the monthly bingo night, it is a lovely evening out with nice friendly people and, more important, it is for a good cause. Every one of us may at some time need the benefit of the equipment purchased for our local hospital from the proceeds of this and other events of NCCCT.
