PRIME MINISTER YORGANCIOĞLU: ‘US STARTS INITIATIVE’
In his statement to the press, Prime Minister Özkan Yorgancıoğlu referred to the US 
contacts of FM Özdil Nami regarding the Cyprus problem and said that the Turkish Cypriot side’s will for a solution in Cyprus was appreciated during the meeting held between FM Nami and the US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns in Washington.
‘It was stated that the US has started an initiative to contribute to the solution process in Cyprus’ PM Yorgancıoğlu added.
FOREIGN MINISTER NAMI MEETS WITH MEMBERS OF US CONGRESS
The Minister of Foreign Affairs – Mr. Özdil Nami who is continuing his high level contacts in Washington met with the 
members of US Congress yesterday. Nami had seperate meetings with US Representatives Mr. Steny Hoyer, the Democratic Whip of the US House of Representatives, Mr. Bill Keating, Ranking member on the Europe and Eurosia subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Mr. Ed Whitfield, Gerry Connolly and Mark Meadows, members of the Turkish-US Friendship Group.
During his meetings, expressing that the atmosphere in Cyprus is appropriate to reach a solution, FM Nami said that a solution of the Cyprus problem will not only make a positive contribution to Cyprus but will also make contribution to Turkey-EU relations, EU-NATO relations and regional cooperation.
TURKISH FM DAVUTOĞLU MEETS WITH UN SECRETARY GENE

Turkish Foreign Minister – Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu met with Mr. Ban Ki-moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations in New York on March 11th 2014. Stating that the issue of Cyprus was also discussed during the meeting, Mr. Davutoğlu said ‘We have agreed on the necessity for reaching a comprehensive solution in Cyprus’.

Good that these meetings are happening but we need to be clear of our expectations, wants and needs. If we keep pretending we want so called reunification and a federation, even after talks fail, we will be doomed.
