KAR Appeal for Cat Catcher

We have received a request from Kyrenia Animal Rescue to try and find a volunteer who would be willing to spare 3 or 4 hours on a Tuesday and Wednesday and/or Thursday and Friday to join their Cat Catching Team.

This is a very important role to reduce the number of stray cats in the north of the island and involves catching the cats, taking them to the Vet to be neutered and then returning them to their “patch” the following day. There will still be stray cats around but at least they will not continue to breed more and more generations of strays.
It is always upsetting to see unwanted animals on our streets and begging for food at restaurants and neutering will gradually stop the breeding in large numbers, giving some a chance of being adopted into a nice home.
Can’t do 2 days on the run but could catch and deliver if someone can pick up and return. Tina, Kucuk Erenkoy, between Esentepe and Tatlisu. Or is that out of your area?
