VOX POP tête-à-tête

By Engin Dervişağa

This week my Vox Pop programme is dedicated to the celebration of the Golden Jubilee of BRTK which has been transmitting for 50 years.  The programme which will be screened on Wednesday 25th December at 11.00am and starts with a 10 minute documentary about the formation of BRTK IS 50 YEARS OLDBRT and its incredible development through to 2013.

Then we have a number of interviews with some of the staff of Bayrak International Radio and I will be speaking to them about when they started working at BRT, the programmes they made then and also the programmes they are making now and their memories they had of the past days of BRT. There will  also be a lovely poem read, called Dreaming by DJ Zel who is often referred to as Romantic Zel by her friends. This Poem can also be read on cyprusscene.com by clicking here.

Some of my friends and co-workers who broadcast so many shows in English will be joining me and they are Fatoş Baykal, Nevra Cağlar, Can Gazi, Zehra Ozkan, Ciğdem Alageyik and also Gülin Taşt and no doubt many of our readers will have listened to them and will now be able put a Face to the voice behind the Mike.

This show will also be shown again on Sunday the 29th December at 10.30am and we do look forward to you tuning in and joining us at this very exciting time in North Cyprus.
