September onwards	The Friends Line Dancers have re-started their line dancing classes at the Punjab Restaurant, Lapta. Monday – 10am to 12 noon – Improvers/Intermediate. Wednesday – 10am to 12 noon – Beginners
3rd to 26th September. Every Tuesday and Thursday evening	9pm in the garden of the Goethe Institute (next to Ledra Palace in the UN buffer zone) there will be 8 different German films (with English sub-titles). The films are from the 1930’s to present times. Admission is free and there are cold drinks and snacks available. For more information contact the Goethe Institute on 22674606
23rd September – Monday	Devon (aka Mr Rodeo) will be performing at Bollywoods in Catalkoy. A brilliant country music performer who will treat you to an evening of music to sit and enjoy or get up and dance to. Have a nice meal and enjoy the evening’s entertainment. 27th September – Friday	Trio Concert at St Andrew’s Church at 8pm featuring Eran Raman (Flute), Katie Economidou (Mezzo Soprano) and Fikri Toros (Piano). 3rd October – Thursday	News from Fikri Toros of an event by Cypress Classica, a classical folk ensemble, which will be held at Karaman Church at 8pm.This will be a splendid presentation of Turkish Cypriot Folk Music with a classical touch and you are invited to make your donation at the door in support of Karaman Church maintenance.To complete your evening’s entertainment, complimentary wine will be served during the intermission
4th October – Friday	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, will be holding a Beetle Drive at the Olive Press Bowling Club starting at 7.30pm. Entry fee is 5TL per person with all proceeds donated to the Poppy Appeal. The Bowls Club full menu will be available beforehand for those wishing to have a meal. Teams of 4 should be booked with Brian Thomas on 0533 841 1882 or email brianjthomo@hotmail.com and Brian will be explaining how the team game is played prior to starting the Beetle Drive.
4th October – Friday	There will be a cello recital at Bellapais Abbey which is part of the Bellapais Music Festival.
4th October – Friday	St Andrew’s Church, Kyrenia will be holding their Centenary Dinner Dance at the Deniz Kizi Beach Restaurant starting at 7.30pm. Entertainment will be by Christina plus Werner and his Steam Machine. The cost of tickets is 55TL and reservations can be made by calling 0542 855 8724.There will be a self service Meze followed by a main course of Chicken, Beef or Vegetarian meal served at the table. There will also be self service desserts to complete your evening’s enjoyment.
5th October – Saturday	The Foreign Residents in the TRNC (TFR) will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the Silver Rocks Restaurant in Lapta at 11.30am. There will be a lunch following the meeting 25TL for members and 35TL for guests. Reservations by 30th September – contact Horst Gutowski on 0533 845 0923. In order to vote at the AGM members must have up to date membership which can be renewed at the Friday get-together at Sea Point in Lapta 4pm to 6pm.
9th October – Wednesday	Kyrenia Animal Rescue will be holding an Autumn Lunch at 1pm at Le Jardin Restaurant, Catalkoy. Tickets 35TL can be obtained from the KAR stall at Lambousa Saturday market or from their office in Karakum. For further details, the KAR office number is 0533 869 4098.
9th October – Wednesday	Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be having their monthly TeaTalk at the Mountain View Hotel at 3pm. The speaker will be announced shortly. Come along for a great afternoon’s entertainment, with an interesting talk, raffle and Mike’s goodie bag, as well as a delicious afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes and tea/coffee. 10th October – Thursday	The Children in Need Foundation will be holding their 2013 Ball at the Cratos Hotel, Catalkoy starting at 7.30pm, drinks available to 11.45pm. Tickets are 100TL per person to include a set 3-course dinner and local drinks. Kai Mckenzie will be entertaining with his Michael Buble Tribute act. Dress code – black tie or lounge suit. Tickets will be available from 16th September at The Property Centre in Alsancak and the DVD shop in Catalkoy. 21st October – Monday	NCCCT Bingo at the Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm. The jackpot was won last time so there will be a new jackpot commencing at 700TL (50 numbers). 35TL for a book of bingo sheets and a chance of a mini Mars or Snickers Bar for winning lines or a house and of course there is the free raffle as well. 24th October – Thursday	Mr P and Mr D will be presenting The Alternative Quiz to be held at The Fez in Ҫatalkoy starting at 7.30pm. 20TL to include chicken and chips in a basket. 25th October – Friday	Faure’s Requiem at Bellapais Abbey at 8pm with the Lefkoșa Municipality Orchestra and the Kyrenia Chamber Choir. Programmes for admission can be obtained from Bridget Kerr by contacting 0533 848 6038. The event is in aid of the SOS Children’s Village.
26th October – Saturday	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital. 3 months must elapse between donations.

2nd November – Saturday.	The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball will be at the Vuni Palace Hotel, Karakum starting at 7pm. 3-course meal. Tickets 110TL for members and 120TL non-members available from the RBL stall at Lambousa Saturday market, to reserve phone 0533 859 2451. Dress code : Black tie/lounge suits. There will be music by the Rock and Roll Rebels plus a late night disco and a raffle and auction will also take place during the evening. A very popular event, so don’t delay in reserving tickets.
2nd and 3rd November. Saturday and Sunday	The Lefke Date Festival will be held on 2nd and 3rd November. More details to follow later.
Change of date – 2nd November.(9th November – Saturday)	BRS Blood Donor Day. 10am to 1pm at The Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak. 3 months must elapse between donations.
8th November – Friday	70’s Nostalgia night at The Black Olive Cafe. Great night to be had. 70’s Music 70’s food (fancy dress) Entertainment provided by Andrew sings..Please book your places for food call 0533 835 5133

10th November – Sunday	Remembrance Sunday at the Old British Cemetery followed by lunch at The Ship Inn. More details later.
