SERHAT AKPINAR “THE AIM IS 31ST OF DECEMBER 2013 – WORK CONTINUES”
The paragon of domestic tourism, Chateau Lambousa, awaits to serve the tourism sector with the giant corporation of GAU and Celebrity Group of Hotels
Celebrity Hotel as the initial overseas effective tourism facility during the years of struggle for existence, Turkish Cypriots are counting down to serve domestic tourism via the 5 star Chateau Lambousa Hotel under the Celebrity Group and GAU Corporation with almost 30 years of experience.
GAU have stated that significant developments in the tourism sector for the country will be effective and furthermore contributions for the TRNC Tourism sector, country promotion, employment and additive values to the economy will be apparent following the service provided by the Chateau Lambousa Hotel protocol under the leadership of GAU Tourism and Accommodation Faculty.
GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators, Serhat Akpınar, has reported significant remarks regarding the project.
Serhat AKPINAR: “The aim is 31st of December 2013”
Serhat Akpınar has reported that universities are obliged to preserve the common equities of Turkish Cypriots and keep the values alive and emphasized that the Cultural Heritage Management Movement is continuing its works in this respect. Akpınar also underlined that the process is flowing with swift phase and thus the opening will be achieved on 31st of December 2013.
“Centre of Attention in a World Standard Service and Tourism Education through the Renovation Project”
As well as the large facility space, the renovation project and the additional buildings, the facility of Chateau Lambousa will include a Spa, multi-functional halls, multi-functional areas for banquets, modern theoretical and practical classrooms, well stocked wine cellar and giant pool investments which will contribute to the domestic economy and tourism in line with the vision of GAU. The project will provide 250 beds of accommodation and nearly 200 employment vacancies, thus contributing to the TRNC economy.

As well as the GAU Tourism and Accommodation Management and Gastronomy Culinary Arts which will continue to provide scientific productivity and education within the facility, the project holds an important role with regard to employing graduates, thus contributing for the graduates and the locals economically. Finally it has been emphasised that Chateau Lambousa will be a centre of attention in world standard service and tourism education.

My family and I would like to thank you and Margaret Sheard for all the good you are doing regarding the Chateau Lambousa Hotel and Mr Serhat Akpinar’s determination to revive the Kingdom of Lambousa through its redevelopment to become Le Chateau, a 5 Star Hotel and centre of the new face of tourism in North Cyprus in 2014.
Once again the whole of TRNC should thank Serhat Bey for what he is doing as he was the first one to start the GAU University In Cyprus and now with his long vision, the Chateau Lambousa is coming back to life for every visitor to Northern Cyprus and indeed our own people to come and admire this beautiful building and gardens as they are already doing so before its completion.
All this and plus more is happening with the co-operation of Girne American’s first University in CYPRUS and the Celebrity Group of Hotels which were also the first Cypriot Turkish built hotels in Cyprus despite all the difficulties imposed from the whole world when they were started.
