9pm in the garden of the Goethe Institute (next to Ledra Palace in the UN buffer zone) there will be 8 different German films (with English sub-titles). A fund-raising event is being held to assist Deborah Maxwell, who recently broke her hip, with regard to hospital treatment. Peter and Deborah have done a lot to support CiNF in the past and their friends would like to give something back.The event will be held at The Red Lion in Alsancak starting at around 5pm and Bobby Sands will be hosting the music, karaoke etc.Any monies raised over the target figure of 1850TL will be donated to the Children in Need Foundation.

The Foreign Residents in the TRNC (TFR) will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the Silver Rocks Restaurant in Lapta at 11.30am. The Children in Need Foundation will be holding their 2013 Ball at the Cratos Hotel, Catalkoy starting at 7.30pm, drinks available to 11.45pm. There will be music by the Rock and Roll Rebels plus a late night disco and a raffle and auction will also take place during the evening.A very popular event, so don’t delay in reserving tickets.
