Civil Emergency Service Volunteers (CESV)

Open Evening at St Andrews Church Kyrenia

On Monday the 16th September we will be holding an open evening at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Girne from 7.15pm to 8.30pm

There will be various interactive stands showing the sorts of activities we 17  Advanced training of CESV volunteers smlget up to where you can try out your skills and talk to our members about their experiences. You will find it’s NOT just about first aid.

Come and try out our brand new “Choking Charlie” vests, practise your CPR skills and see how a defibrillator really works.  Hear tales of daring from our members who have put out fires on Diana beach, used heavy duty cutting tools to remove a casualty from a car and hear how we all abseiled down the walls of Girne castle, aided and abetted by the marvellous men of the Civil Defence!

Age is no barrier – our members range from sprightly spring chickens to perky pensioners!
