23rd/24th/25th August.    Friday/Saturday/SundayPekmez 5th Ozanköy Carob/Pekmez Festival will be held in the village square next to the Sports Club starting at 7pm each evening.  There will be stalls selling local produce and handicrafts and lots of music and dancing.
26th August – MondayFriends of the TRNC Emergency Services The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their monthly quiz night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 7.30pm.  There will be supper of Fish and Chips or a Chicken Shish for 15TL and there is of course their exciting raffle as well as the main event – the quiz.To book your team contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483
30th August – FridayBlack Olive logo The Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be having a Cypriot Night with belly dancing starting at 7.30pm.  30TL to include dinner.     If you want to have a meal please contact Vicki on 0533 835 5133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
3rd to 26th September.       Every Tuesday and Thursday eveningCinema equipment video camera  and film reel 9pm in the garden of the Goethe Institute (next to Ledra Palace in the UN buffer zone) there will be 8 different German films (with English sub-titles).  The films are from the 1930’s to present times.  Admission is free and there are cold drinks and snacks available.   For more information contact the Goethe Institute on 22674606 
6th September – FridayBlack Olive logo The Black Olive Cafe/Studio will be having a fun quiz.   More details to follow soon.
11th September – WednesdayFriends of the TRNC Emergency Services sml The Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their Afternoon Tea Talk at 3pm at the Mountain View Hotel and it is hoped that Dorothy Betts will be available to give her long awaited talk about Shadows of the Empire, her book about the Old British Cemetery in Kyrenia and some of the people buried there.    To book for this event contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483 
14th September – Saturday RBL1-202x300 The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, will be holding a Mediterranean Supper Party at the Deniz Kizi Hotel in Alsancak starting at 7pm.  There will be a superb buffet available.  Tickets are 50TL for RBL members and 55TL for non-members.  Order by telephone 0533 859 2451 and collect from Lambousa Market on Saturday 31st August or 7th September or alternatively order by telephone and pay on the night when you arrive. Entertainment will be by Pure and Simple (Lynn and Simon Barter) who will be singing songs to suit every taste. 
16th September – MondayNCCCT logo NCCCT Bingo Night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm.  There is still a rollover jackpot of 1,200TL.  A book of 6 cards @ 35TL. Free raffle and the famous Mars bars and now also Snickers for the winners.   Pre-order a nice supper of Fish & Chips for 15TL when you arrive to be served at half-time.   A good evening’s entertainment. 
21st September – SaturdayBritish Residents BRS Blood Donor Day.  10am to 1pm at Lambousa Market, Lapta.    3 months must elapse between donations. 
26th to 29th September.    Thursday to Sunday The Silk Route Festival of North Cyprus is being arranged and it is to be held in the Bafra area.  The exact location and details will be announced as soon as they are available. 
26th October – SaturdayBritish Residents BRS Blood Donor Day.  10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital.   3 months must elapse between donations. 
2nd November – SaturdayRBL Logo The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball.  More details later. 
9th November – SaturdayBritish ResidentsBlack Olive logo BRS Blood Donor Day.  10am to 1pm at The Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak.   3 months must elapse between donations.
9th November – SaturdayRBL Logo The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Walk.   More details later. 
10th November – SundayRBL Logo Remembrance Sunday at the Old British Cemetery followed by lunch at The Ship Inn.     More details later.
