CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: ‘GREEK CYPRIOT ALLEGATIONS REGARDING ‘GREEN LINE REGULATION’ ARE GROUNDLESS AND FALSE PROPAGANDA’

Indicating that Greek Cypriot allegations regarding the ‘Green Line Regulation’ are groundless and false, Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) has emphasized that the real reasons of the decrease in commerce as a part of the KTTOGreen Line Regulation are these groundless allegations.

According to the written statement made by the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, the statement made by Greek Cypriot Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment last week that says Green Line Regulation is full of holes just like the Green Line itself which allows all products to cross the border just like people who can cross the border without being noticed; is completely groundless and based on unproved allegations.

“AIM IS TO BLOCK THE COMMERCE WITH NEGATIVE PREJUDICE”

It is reported that this statement made by the Greek Cypriot Minister is a part of false propaganda that the Greek Cypriots follow systematically and its aim is to block the commerce between the two sides with negative prejudice about the Green Line Regulation.

The statement reminds that with courage taken from the EU and other countries, the watermelonGreek Cypriot side has made similar remarks about honey and fish commerce previously and says: ‘ It is proven again that the real aim of the Greek Cypriot Government is to spread the Greek Cypriot Commerce into the North unregulated and to weaken the TRNC economy with these attempts.’

Having highlighted that all trust-abusing actions between the two sides must be ended during these days that everyone talks about the launch of negotiations in October, Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce said they would like to remind that these kinds of actions harm the trust between the sides and called to avoid making statements based on unproved information.
