EROĞLU: “TURKISH CYPRIOT MEDIA HAS GREAT CONTRIBUTION TO TURKISH CYPRIOTS’ STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM”
The TRNC President Dr. Derviş Eroğlu underlined that Turkish Cypriot people have established a sovereign state on their own territory after struggling for freedom and with the support of Turkey and added that the Turkish Cypriot 
media has a great contribution in reaching this point.
The TRNC Presidency has published the message of TRNC President Eroğlu on 11 July – Turkish Cypriot Press Day.
Dr. Eroğlu emphasized that Turkish Cypriot people can forward their democratic requests via newspapers, radio, television and internet newspapers.
Stating that the opinion and thoughts of state authorities, public institutions, political parties and non-governmental organizations take place in the media and everybody benefits from the media, Eroğlu said “democratic discussion environment formed by means of media is one of the major dynamics for solving the problems.”
ERK: “NAME OF THOSE EXPERIENCED IN EGYPT IS A COUP”
TRNC Foreign Affairs Minister, Kutlay Erk, stated that the name of changing the public’s will formed with the democratic ways in Egypt with another management without going to poll is a ‘coup’.
Erk evaluated the seizure of power by the army in Egypt to the journalist of Anatolia Agency and stated that the silence of countries which value democracy and human rights in front of this issue was something strange. Erk stated that Egypt should be governed by a government which will regard multiculturalism as a local richness and govern in line with this factor.
Kutlay Erk wished that the people of Egypt, who have economical problems, will have a government which can show democratic and economic success as soon as possible, and said “I wish there will be a structure in Egypt where the internal differences agree with each other and show respect to each other”.
EFFORTS TO INACTIVATE IMMOVABLE PROPERTY COMMISSION
A consensus was reached yesterday between the Anastasiadis government and political parties with regard to finding a method to stop the Greek Cypriots from applying to the Immovable Property Commission (IPC) for 
their old properties in the TRNC.
It was also agreed to establish a guardianship for the old Greek Cypriot properties in the TRNC like the “Cyprus Turkish Properties Guardianship” which acts under the Greek Cypriot Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Turkish properties in the South.
According to the news, Greek Cypriot National Council’s special committee which has been established to prevent the applications to the IPC will prepare a document and also it will be submitted to the approval of the Judicial Office and Finance Office.
Therefore, the Greek Cypriots who intend to apply to the ‘Commission’ shall be required to go through this procedure of the Government (Guardianship).
