25th June to 11th July……..Every Tuesday and Thursday eveningCinema equipment video camera  and film reel 9pm in the garden of the Goethe Institute (next to Ledra Palace in the UN buffer zone) there will be 6 different German films (with English sub-titles).  The films are from the 1930’s to present times.  Admission is free and there are cold drinks and snacks available. For more information contact the Goethe Institute on 22674606 
5th and 6th July…Friday and SaturdayDartboard 6th Lapta Tourism Festival will be holding a Darts Tournament at the Manolya Hotel in Lapta starting at 7pm. This is now nearing the end of the Festival. 
7th July – SundayMusic Note 6th Lapta Tourism Festival will be holding their last event.  This is The Voice of Lapta competition and will be starting at 11am at the Sempati Hotel.  There are bound to be some lovely voices to be heard. 
10th July – WednesdayFriends of the TRNC Emergency Services Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their monthly Afternoon Tea Talk at 3pm at the Mountain View Hotel.  Unfortunately, Dorothy Betts will still not be available to give her talk but Dr Ezel Orfi has stepped in to relate his experiences in Cyprus when he was a doctor here in the 1960/70’s.  Dr Orfi lives in Canada and is in Cyprus on holiday but will be pleased to give his time to give a talk. To book for this event contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483 There will not be an Afternoon Tea Talk in August, the next one will be 11th September. 
11th July – Thursday Aqua Fit at Santoria Village in Alsancak at 10.30am.  10TL per person.  This is held every Thursday except the 18th and 25th July when the instructor will be away.  A nice way to relax and tone up at the same time.  No need to book, just go along.
13th July ; 20th July ; 27th July ; each SaturdayMusic Note Almond Sports Lounge in Alsancak will be having a 3 night music extravaganza over 3 weeks starting on 13th July with The Foreign Nationals, 20th July with Kacey Wild from the UK and 27th July with The Unknowns R & B Band.  Entry is 15TL per person which covers all three events which start at 9pm till late. Tickets can be obtained from Almond Holiday Village or Bestseller Bookstore in Alsancak. VIP seating for any night can be arranged via Almond Sports Lounge by contacting 0392 821 2886 
15th July – MondayNCCCT logo NCCCT Bingo Night at The Ravine in Alsancak starting at 8pm.  There will be a rollover jackpot of 1,200TL if this is not won at the June event.  A book of 6 cards @ 35TL. Free raffle and the famous Mars bars for the winners.  Pre-order a nice supper of Fish & Chips for 15TL when you arrive to be served at half-time.  A good evening’s entertainment. 
20th July – SaturdayBlack Olive logo The Black Olive Cafe will be holding a Cypriot Night with a belly dancer.  The event starts at 7.30pm and should be a good fun night. To book contact Vicki on 835 5133 or email theblackolivecafe@gmail.com
29th July – MondayFriends of the TRNC Emergency Services sml Friends of the TRNC Emergency Services will be holding their monthly quiz at The Ravine in Alsancak so why not test your brain and have a few laughs.  15TL will give you supper of Fish & Chips or Shish and a good night’s entertainment. To book your team contact Brenda on 0533 840 7834 or Jenny on 0533 876 1483

21st September – SaturdayBritish Residents BRS Blood Donor Day.  10am to 1pm at Lambousa Market, Lapta. 3 months must elapse between donations. 
26th to 29th September….Thursday to Sunday The Silk Route Festival of North Cyprus is being arranged and it is to be held in the Bafra area.  The exact location and details will be announced as soon as they are available. 
26th October – SaturdayBritish Residents BRS Blood Donor Day.  10am to 1pm at Girne State Hospital. 3 months must elapse between donations. 
2nd November – SaturdayRBL Logo The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Ball. More details later. 
9th November – SaturdayBritish Residents BRS Blood Donor Day.  10am to 1pm at The Black Olive Cafe, Alsancak.   3 months must elapse between donations. 
9th November – SaturdayRBL Logo The Royal British Legion, Kyrenia Branch, Poppy Walk.   More details later. 
10th November – SundayRBL Logo Remembrance Sunday at the Old British Cemetery followed by lunch at The Ship Inn.    More details later.
